This was very interesting. I didn't know much abut American politics. Am so longing to learn more.
Ah yes the perfect Union that cannot be separated, even if it means waging the most deadly war in the history of the United States. Lincoln was no abolitionist he said in his 1858 Charlestown, Illinois, debate with Stephen Douglas, "I am not, nor ever have been, in favor of bringing about in any way the social and political equality of the white and black races."
It was the best book I have read about Abe Lincoln I love Abe Lincoln he is my hero he is awesome
Lincoln knew how his inaugural would be dissected and turned to label him an the abolitionist, his tact was clear - his duty was clear and precise to protect, defend and preserve the constitution as the people enacted. Beautiful logic, he laid out his position and set the tact for the country.
Everything Lincoln wrote was genius! I am fascinated by anything written by Abraham Lincoln. He was a man ahead of his time!!
